04 / HOW IT WORKS

Simple on the road

Four steps from going to remembering.

RouteStory stays out of the way while you travel and brings everything together when the journey ends.

  1. 01

    Start your journey

Choose to begin and grant location access. Recording starts only when you tell it to.

  2. 02

    Mark what matters

Add a viewpoint, meal, photograph, note or short video right where it happened.

  3. 03

    Finish the route

Review the map, distance and timeline, then let RouteStory shape the journey into a journal.

  4. 04

    Relive or share

Generate a route film, export your travel book, or share a completed journey in Explore.

Privacy with a clear route

Your memories are personal. Your controls should be clear.

Route recording begins only after you start a journey and allow location access. You can manage trips, remove media, delete your account, and choose what you share.

  • ✓ Explicit journey recording controls
  • ✓ Clear trip and account deletion options
  • ✓ No sale of your personal data
